Lucas Tolentino Coelho de Lima (born August 27, 1997) is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for the Premier League club West Ham United and the Brazil national team. Lucas Paquetá joined Flamengo at the age of ten in 2007. He was technically skilled at the age of 15 but lacked the physicality of other players his age (he was only 5 ft tall). However, by the age of 18, he had grown 27 cm (10.6 inches).

He won the 2016 Copa So Paulo de Jniores with the Flamengo youth team, Brazil’s most important youth tournament. Lucas, along with other standout players Léo Duarte, Felipe Vizeu, and Ronaldo was promoted to the club’s professional team immediately following the competition.

Paquetá was promoted to Flamengo’s professional team in March 2016 and signed a contract extension until 2020. Lucas made his debut as a starter in a 3-1 win over Bangu in a Rio de Janeiro State League match on March 5, 2016. Paquetá scored his first professional goal against Madureira on February 19, 2017, at the Estádio Raulino de Oliveira in Volta Redonda.
